Taking time for a yoga retreat is an opportunity to deepen your practice. For seven days, an extended practice to include meditation and pranayama, a nourishing diet, and a beautiful place to relax and renew will direct you to a deeper connection to yourself.

Yoga Classes 

Two daily yoga classes will be offered in a state-of-the-art studio equipped with 24 rope wall stations. The morning session will be active asana practice and the evening session will include restorative asana and pranayama practice. Both are suitable for all levels. Modifications and options can be provided to accommodate physical issues or injuries.

We will practice asana with the help of the yoga wall, which provides an opportunity for traction and a different relationship to gravity. Traction of the spine creates space which according to yoga philosophy, provides healing, both physically, emotionally and spiritually.

A session to cover Ayurvedic aromatherapy and its relationship to yoga practice will include self-care products.

Prerequisites

Prerequisite for this retreat is a year of consistent yoga practice, to include asana, meditation, and pranayama. A detailed agenda to include preparation will be provided upon registration. Students in Greensboro, NC are encouraged to attend a monthly class of “Spinal Rejuvenation,” and to consider attending Life Fit workshops and offerings to supplement a personal yoga practice.
