Our Mediterranean, vegetarian and vegan meals are based on organic produce grown under the Spanish sun, from our gardens, local farmers, our chicken coop, fruit trees and herb garden.

The cooks at Santillan Retreat enjoy sharing their popular Spanish-influenced healthy Mediterranean cuisine, catering for vegetarian, vegan and raw-food diets, and for genuine food allergies and intolerances, such as gluten-free and dairy-free. Complete plant-based raw food catering is available, if arranged upon booking, and for the entire group. This would be agreed through your retreat organiser.

We offer breakfast, lunch and dinner, or early morning fruit and tea and light snacks, brunch and dinner. Meals are usually served buffet style. Santillan offers numerous indoor and outdoor all-year round dining areas.

Our produce is grown in our own organic vegetable gardens or sourced from local farmers. Our avocado, orange, lemon, mango, apple, mandarin and tropical fruit trees offer their gifts for much of the year, and we keep free-range chickens for fresh eggs daily. You can pick your own oranges for your morning juice, or explore our farm and horticulture anytime. All food waste is processed in our wormery, providing us with natural fertilizer for the gardens. Lower food miles, organic produce and minimal waste help to keep our carbon footprint and waste low.
